Champagne

Champagne is a classic method sparkling wine, known throughout the world.
It takes its name from the Champagne region, located in the north-east of France, where wine is produced.
Champagne is one of the few wines in the world to which an inventor has been attributed, the Benedictine abbot Dom Pierre Pérignon, although there are different versions of the history of its origin.
The most used vines are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which give their specificity and characteristics to every great cru.
There are four areas of Champagne and are the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs and the Côte de Bar.
