Wines Red Côtes du Rhône
Considering a reliable region but not able to compete with the "big sisters", Burgundy and Bordeaux, since the 80s the Rhone Coast has finally managed to carve out the space it deserves among the most important and appreciated wine production areas of France.
In the northern area there are eight crus, among the most remembered notes are the Côte-Rôtie, the Château-Grillet and the Hermitage. The area is dominated mainly by the cultivation of Syrah grapes, since it is a habit that local wines are an expression of variety varieties. The disciplinary also provides very strict rules on the percentages of usable in the various areas. The production of the northern Rhône is mainly aimed at red wines, and the most prestigious names are Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu.
The most extraordinary example of wine excellence in the southern Rhône Valley is Châteauneuf-du-Pape: thirteen different grapes can be used to produce it, and the result is a ruby-colored product with an elegant structure, hints of berries and delicate nuances floral.
