Wines Red Côte Chalonnaise

The vineyards of the Côte Chalonnaise are located west of the town of Chalon-sur-Saône and extend to the north as far as the Côte de Beaune and to the south as far as the Mâconnais region. The five municipal geographical names are those of Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey, Givry and Montagny. The most prized vineyards are given the Premier Cru name, which is always shown on the label, to which are added several other unofficial geographical denominations, the so-called "Lieux-dits". Finally, the wines obtained from Pinot Noir are characterized by the pleasant notes of crunchy fruit and the aroma of raspberries, cherries, undergrowth and tobacco.
