The Cerasuolo di Vittoria GCDO (Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin), is a "territorial" wine with a typical cherry-red colour, a sweet and velvety taste, a fruity scent. The production area includes the land of the municipalities of Ragusa, Vittoria, Comiso, Acate, Chiaramonte Gulfi, Santa Croce Camerina, Niscemi, Gela, Caltagirone, Licodia Eubea, Riesi, Butera, Mazzarino and Mazzarrone (exactly five municipalities in the Province of Ragusa, two municipalities in the Province of Caltanissetta and two municipalities in the Province of Catania).
