Wines Red California

California wines are known throughout the world and it is in California that most (over 90%) of the wine of the United States of America is produced. The most important Californian wine production areas are eight: Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Los Carneros, Mendoncino, Lake County, Sierra Foothills, Livermore Valley and the areas located in the Central Valley. A great variety of vines is grown in California. The whites are mainly Chardonnay, Colombard, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and others. The reds are instead Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah and many others.
