The rst vintage of Massetino is the 2017: a hot and dry vintage requiring a very accurate selection. It was considered the right moment to bottle for the rst time an extremely small quantity of the ‘second vin’ of Masseto.
Massetino is a blend of predominantly Merlot with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc coming from a few selected vineyard parcels which have been replanted and show great potential.

Born out of the strict selection for Masseto, Massetino shares the same pedigree as its sibling. The hot and dry vintage shows in a dark colour and rich and ripe aromatics, dominated by stewed plums and blackberries. The palate is broad and rich, with a remarkable freshness and firmness of structure.
