The history of the Domaine dates back centuries: Alphonse Gros founded it in 1830 when he settled in Vosne-Romanée following his marriage to Julie Latour.
Slowly, generation after generation, the Gros manage to acquire important parcels in the Grand cru Richebourg, Grand-Echézeaux, Echézeaux and Clos de Vougeot. Today the Domaine is located in Vosne-Romanée in rue des Grand Cru and is managed by Bernard Gros who takes care of the twenty hectares of property spread over eight denominations.
