Diplomático's identity is based on a continuous commitment to quality and to putting passion and heart into the creation of rum. An independent, family-run brand, it controls the entire production chain from field to bottle, to create rum of superb quality. The Diplomático distillery is located at the foot of the Andes in Venezuela, where the purest waters flow. This location was also carefully selected for its proximity to the main sugar cane processing plants.

The distillery is unique in that it hosts three different distillation processes which, combined with mastery in the art of blending, produce iconic rums such as Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva, acclaimed around the world. Diplomático places great value on quality and authenticity in the production process, in supporting collaborators and the local community and in protecting the environment through the "Distilled Consciously" platform with sustainable production practices. Indeed, as part of Diplomático's philosophy, respect and protection of the environment have always been one of the main objectives. From the beginning, DUSA has set up a system to manage by-products, recycle waste and optimize resources.

Thanks to the quality of its products and social and environmental commitment, among other awards, in 2018 the important magazine Wine Enthusiast awarded Diplomático as "Spirit Brand of the Year". Awarded for the first time to a rum company, this award recognizes companies and individuals whose vision has had an effect on the spirits industry.
