Only the best bunches of Sangiovese from the Podere are destined for Brunello di Montalcino. The long maturation – a good two and a half years – takes place in French wood, followed by a passage in cement and 18 months of aging in the bottle, an essential period to give Giodo Brunello di Montalcino elegance, balance and depth. When tasted it presents great class, it is a complex wine, deep, intriguing, intense but without opulence, soft and of extraordinary persistence.
