2018
Barolo Riserva San Giuseppe 2015 is already quite mature and therefore pretty ready to drink.
The thick structure is rather smooth and balanced. The warm weather that characterized this vintage shows itself in the floral notes but this wine seems to be fresh and intended to live for a very long time. The nose shows black cherries, licorice and truffle, with some more ethereal scents linked to the alcohol. The palate is quite round and open, although it is evident this is going to be a longevous wine. The finish is extremely long, sign of a great complexity despite the dry and hot vintage.
